An entrepreneurial mindset is one that drives innovation, creativity, hard work, goal-setting, a fearless attitude, and calculated risks.  It is a set of beliefs, a thought processes, and a way of viewing the world that drives entrepreneurial behavior. Entrepreneurs firmly believe it’s possible to improve their life situation and live life on their own terms.

This mindset is the one trait common to all entrepreneurs.  In a nutshell it is the ability to recognize opportunity and the willingness to take a risk.  Entrepreneurs use their imaginations and creativity.  They identify, evaluate, and develop opportunities influenced by living experience and social networks.  They think outside the box, accept a high level of uncertainty, and possess an ability to connect things. One can develop the mindset through curiosity.  Ask “what if” and “why” as you  take new and creative paths to learning and doing.  The University of Arizona defines a mindset’s nine qualities as determination, focus, drive, decisiveness, authenticity, flexibity, thirst for knowledge, and creativity. 

The "Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile® (EMP)" below middle is a carefully written assessment for a person to answer that identifies one’s strengths and weaknesses compared to successful entrepreneurship traits.  Useful to emphasize strengths and hire or partner for weaknesses.  There is a cost associated with its grading we are happy to submit anyone’s EMP test upon request.
